Snow days may well be point of the previous with e-understanding

As Oak Park and River Forest braced themselves for the initial right snowfall of 2024 on Friday, Jan. 12, area faculty districts manufactured the choice to close their buildings and call for e-learning – a conclusion that proved to be remarkably controversial. 

A doing the job parent, Christina Timme, a ‘09 graduate of Oak Park and River Forest Higher Faculty and a father or mother of two at Oak Park Elementary Faculty District 97 students, claimed e-finding out was a struggle for her young children, who had to attempt their virtual university days from daycare. 

“They are not getting the 1-on-one particular time with the teachers that they will need also,” Timme said, introducing that her child gets treatment at university. “It’s not practical.”
